Born in Pendleton, Lancashire, on 7th December 1906 (Salford Q1:1907 8D:89), baptised at St Thomas' Pendleton on 10th January 1907, son of George and Minnie BARRETT (née POTTS)

1911 census...Aged 4 he was at 28 Arthur Street, Pendleton, Salford with his widowed mother Minnie BARRETT [42] born Gorton; sisters Mary [18] french polisher and Eve [12] and brother Peter [15] collier. Siblings all born in Pendleton. His father had died in 1908. Four of Minnie's eleven children had died.

In the 1939 register he was single, a stableman, and at 8 Rose Cottages, Lisburn Road, Newmarket with Edith Laura KEEBLE,(she was recorded as married). He married Edith Laura KEEBLE (née HASTED) in Q1-1941, they lived at 8 Rosa Cottages, Lisburn Road, Newmarket. After Edward's death she married Raymond FISHER.



He died in Dover through enemy action.
So far no details have been found
